Dragon Ball Z MUGEN Edition 2

What do you get if you cross Manga animation with a blistering martial arts fighting game? Super Dragon Ball Z. This classic arcade fighting game is based on the retro MUGEN graphics engine and will appeal to anyone who likes Street Fighter or Double Dragon. To start playing you must read this.

In the start menu, you’re presented with several different modes. Arcade means you go 1 on 1 against the computer; in VS mode you take on a friend; Team VS lets you play various team-up modes against a friend; Team Arcade means various team-up modes against the computer and Team Co-op allows you to beat the crap out of the computer tag-team style. Finally, Training allows you to work on your moves and Watch mode allows you to observe computer controlled characters beat the hell out of each other in various modes. There’s also an options menu where you can configure such things as the level of difficulty, time limit, sound features and controls.

The game lets you take on the role of of almost 30 characters. Highlights include Chibi Trunks, Future Trunks, Normal Trunks and Mr Boo. As one of these fighters, you take on a series of martial arts beasts in an effort to win battle points and collect dragon balls. If you choose to take on a friend in the “VS” mode, make sure you’ve either got two joysticks or at least one whilst the other plays on the keyboard. For beginners, I’d advise going straight into training mode where you can practice some special moves which range from a simple karate-chop to a “fist of death” hammer blow which involves pressing at least seven different keys at once. Remember those old Amiga and Atari games where a special move literally involved snapping the joystick and you’ll get the picture. You can also customise your own player although it’s mainly limited to changing the name and colours here and there.

The game itself works on the basis of battle points - the more you beat-up, the more you win. Points give you access to a “skill tree” which enables you to pimp-up your character and give him/her some new moves. Along the way, you also collect dragon balls and once you have collected 7, you can call forth the “dragon of Shenron” which grants you a wish. According to the developers, this can range from adding a new move to your character to creating an entirely new one. The gameplay is just like a classic arcade game thanks to the ever-popular MUGEN graphics engine. The sound is also excellent with some classic satisfying retro kicks and punch effects. On the downside, it can seem a bit limited and boring compared to fighting classics like Street Fighter or Tekken but for a game that’s only around 30 MB , it certainly packs a punch.

Be warned also that although the developers claim this game works on all Windows platforms, some forums report that users with anything above Windows 98 have experienced problems starting the game. More advice is available from the developers’ website. In summary, a must have for any retro fighting fan.

Dragon Ball Z Budokai X 2.0

If you were a fan of Dragon Ball Z then Dragon Ball Z Budokai takes it to a new level with added acrobatic 3D action. If you are a game lover then you must look here.

Dragon Ball Z Budokai features over 100 DBZ heroes and villains and an added story mode for extra depth. The games allows you to recreate classic scenes from the TV show in story mode with some lightning-fast fighting moves and the ability to engage in titanic battles. There are around 15 3D scenarios and much improved graphics, levels and special moves.
The game uses a "behind-the-back" camera perspective and features all the regular Dragon Ball Z power ups and bonuses.

Players can build up their "Ki" bar to execute various techniques such as the Power Guard, which reduces the damage characters take by 1/4. The Ki bar can also be used to use moves referred to as Blast 2s plus many more death defying moves which can snap your opponents neck in the blink of an eye.

For those that enjoy a good old punch-up, this is a great game although it could do with a few more characters and moves.

Nintendo to launch 3D portable game console

Nintendo has unveiled plans to launch a handheld 3D video game console that does not require special glasses, seeking to harness surging interest in images that appear to jump out of the screen.

The Japanese electronics giant, which competes with Sony and Microsoft in the multi-billion dollar video game industry, said the new machine, tentatively called the Nintendo 3DS, would be introduced some time by March next year.

The device will succeed Nintendo's DS series -- the best-selling portable video game console ever with sales of more than 125 million units since its launch in 2004 -- and will be compatible with DS games, the company said.

The announcement on Tuesday comes as handheld game consoles face growing competition from games available on mobile telephones such as Apple's iPhone.

Nintendo, the maker of the hit Wii games console, did not say how much the 3Ds would cost, promising more details in June at the annual E3 videogame convention in Los Angeles.

Consumer electronics makers are battling for a share of the market for 3D televisions and other gadgets, aiming to ride a new wave of interest in the technology thanks to recent movies such as sci-fi blockbuster "Avatar".

Sony is also aiming to make its PlayStation 3 compatible with 3D games but, unlike Nintendo's planned device, users are expected to have to buy a new television and special glasses to enjoy 3D images.

Many experts think consumers are unlikely to rush to buy the premium-priced 3D TVs due to the need for special glasses and because many people have already upgraded to high-definition sets in recent years.

Nintendo is striving to reverse a decline in sales of the DS as well as the Wii home console, which has easily outsold the PS3 and Microsoft's Xbox 360 since its launch in 2006 but has struggled recently due to a lack of new games.

High-end Gaming PC for 60K

The last time we built a high-end gaming rig we went all out and got some of the best components available. This was all fine but come to think of it, 80K is a high price tag that not everyone is willing to shell out. I sure many wouldn't want to spend so much money on a gaming rig. So we decided to build a slightly lower priced high-end rig in which the primary components would remain high-end but we would have to cut down on the other luxuries like a fancy case or expensive speakers.

We set out with a target of 60K (excluding the cost of the OS), which I think is fairly acceptable budget for a high-end gaming rig, and we managed to put together quite a potent little machine that will easily play the current crop of games.

CPU and Motherboard Combo

Intel Core i5 750 - (Rs. 9,700)

It's been long since our last high-end guide and now I'm pretty sure the Corei5 is widely available and can be found easily. In fact we also have the new Clarkdale CPUs like the Corei5 661 that is priced similarly and also has a higher clock speed, but the L2 and L3 cache is a lot less, which makes the i5 750 a better buy.

ECS P55H-A - (Rs. 6,700)

We've again gone for an ECS P55 based chipset since it's priced well and gives you lots of features. This comes from their Black Series line up and features debug LEDs, power and rest buttons built in to the board and CrossFire support.

God Of War III on Playstation 3 Review

God Of War III represents Playstation at its very finest. From the rip-roaring spectacle of the opening sixty-minutes, right through to the ultra-stylish conclusion; Kratos’ last hurrah is a marriage of refined combat mechanics, perfectly prepared puzzles and the kind of technical showcase that has you ripping the head from a water horse, while riding a gigantic other-being scaling Mount. Olympus. Unforgettable.

What’s It All About?

Picking up directly after the conclusion of the previous game, God Of War III once again places you in the shoes of the anti-hero Kratos. He seeks compensation for the corruption of the Gods of Olympus and the wrong-doings they’ve caused him, and so he rides the Titan Gaia – mother Earth – to the top of Mount. Olympus, desperately seeking vengeance from his father Zeus and the other Olympians.

What ensues is a spectacular adventure planted firmly in the traditions that have made the God Of War franchise such a huge success world-wide. The combat’s familiar yet refined, the puzzles are deep yet rewarding, and the entire spectacle goes above and beyond anything seen on Playstation 3 to date. It’s a showpiece.

God Of War III will take you roughly 10 hours to complete, but there are plenty of challenges and unlocks left to keep you entertained beyond its surface length.

What We Liked:
  • The opening. God Of War III sets out its stall within the opening sixty-minutes. In that time, you’ll be privy to Sony Santa Monica’s unrivalled technical genius. As Kratos rides the back of Gaia, you’ll experience a multitude of jaw-dropping set-pieces — the camera zooming in and out to frame the scale of the moment while you remain fully in control of the gameplay. The thing is, while we’re picking out those first sixty-minutes, God Of War III never lets go once it’s hooked you. The game essentially makes all other set-pieces seem tame, as its scale is unmatched by any other video game.
  • It’s not CGI. Going hand-in-hand with the ridiculous set-pieces are God Of War III’s visuals. The game sets an entire new benchmark for graphical fidelity, stealing the crown from Uncharted 2 and prancing comfortably with its victory. From the unparalleled scale, to the simple fidelity of its objects – God Of War III pushes the Playstation 3 in directions it’s yet to go. We can’t wait to see what’s next for Sony’s power-house.
  • Refined combat. It’s easy to describe God Of War III as “just another God Of War” game. Yes, essentially you’ll still be using Kratos’ chained blades with the Square and Triangle buttons, hammering out combos for the reward of red orbs — but alas, you now have other worthy weapons in your arsenal. For the first time in the God Of War franchise, switching makes sense. Giant melee fists provide a slow powerful approach, whilst chained claws allow you to summon spirits to aid you in battle. At times the combat can rely on the careful switch between Kratos’ arsenal (still accessible through the d-pad, or mid-combo with the L1 and X button). It’s not just new attacking implements that adapt the combat in God Of War III though – Helios’ head allows you to both stun and search for secrets in the game’s environments, while the boots of Hermes allow you to run up walls.
  • Puzzles. Once more, the puzzle design in God Of War III is brilliantly creative. Labyrinths and garden mazes provide the territory for a slew of testing challenges, where you’ll need to consider perspective and resources to succeed. There are perhaps less “smaller” puzzles throughout God Of War III than in previous games, leading to “bigger” more creative puzzles when they arrive. The game’s pacing is still as great as ever, constantly changing gears to keep the experience refreshing. God Of War III’s so well designed that you could simply sit through it and complete it in one long session – mainly because the game’s elements are so carefully laid out that it never feels particularly tiresome or repetitive. In fact, in that regard the game’s perhaps the best in the franchise.
  • Stylish. Without giving much away – this iteration of God Of War III is stylish. If you thought the franchise was simply blood, guts, gore and scale then… You’d be right. However, the conclusion to God Of War III is one of the most stylishly presented climaxes we’ve yet to see on Playstation 3.
  • Animation. Perhaps not quite at the level of Uncharted 2’s uncanny character animation, God Of War III is a particularly different beast, animating wildly large and well designed enemy character models in a way that brings them to life and makes them satisfying to kill. Some of the animation on the Titans is startlingly impressive.
  • Technical things. Aside from the striking art-direction and ambitious level design, God Of War III does a lot of things that are technically impressive too. The frame-rate’s particularly solid, the aliasing results in very few “jaggies”, and the use of processing effects such as motion blur and dynamic lighting brings the environments to life with stunning clarity.
What We Didn’t Like:
  • Technical things. So, we have one tiny issue with God Of War III and it relates to the chests. For some reason, during our playthrough, we couldn’t always open a chest first-time. The R1 control prompt would pop-up, we’d press and hold the button, and Kratos would reach forward then stop. So we’d press it again, hold and, nearly-nuh he’s not opened it again. Some chests would open first-time, but some took patience and endeavour to get open. We’re not quite sure how this glitch slipped through QA but, really, it’s hardly game-breaking. In fact, by the time you read this it’s probably been patched.

Top 5 Olympic Sites for Following the Games

Don't let a little thing like being at work get in the way of following your favorite sporting events and athletes at the Winter Olympics. From streaming video to event explanations to ski slope imagery courtesy of Google, these five handy sites will help you follow all the action.
NBC Olympics

Useful for: Video highlights/live streaming coverage of the Games. If you're in the United States, this is the only place you'll (legally) get it.

What it is: NBC has exclusive U.S. broadcast rights to the Olympics, but here's the rub: For live coverage, you must be a subscriber to a cable, satellite, or IPTV provider. Otherwise you'll only be able to access event recaps and highlights, athlete biographies, interviews, news, and other short clips.

NBC is still partnered with MSN and Microsoft's Silverlight, so you'll need to have Silverlight 3 (along with the latest version of Adobe Flash Player) installed in order to view any video content on the NBC site. Don't worry, though — it's a quick and painless download. If, for some reason, NBC doesn't work out for you, you can check out our article on how to stream the Olympics from anywhere (including outside the United States).

Why you should check it out: As the exclusive broadcaster of the Olympic Games, it's the only site that will have easily accessible, high-quality streaming content. Also, for those of you following the games at work, it even features a "BOSS" button that brings up a Windows desktop (complete with spreadsheet), so you can stream under the radar.

Google Maps' "Inside the Games"

Useful for: Visuals — maps and pictures of the event venues, official courses, and slopes.

What it is: Those of you who followed the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic games might remember Google's nifty little "Inside the Games" site, which was powered by Google Maps and featured stadium locations and pictures — a neat way to bring people closer to the games. Google has one-upped itself with the 2010 Winter Olympic Games' "Inside the Games" site, bringing Google Street Views into the mix.

Now, in addition to venue and event locations, you can also see the ski slopes, bobsleigh courses, and luge courses in Google Street Views. Google's site also features a simple event schedule, medals chart, and news feed for the Olympics.

Why you should check it out: The Google Street views will make you feel like you're practically at the games themselves. Also, the simplicity of the event schedule and medals chart is great for people who are looking for the straight facts — and a welcome change from ad-ridden sites like NBC.
Twitter

Useful for: Short, sweet updates and some lively back-and-forth discussion.

What it is: The microblogging site, which features news updates in spurts of 140 characters, is host to a bevy of Olympics-related feeds. If you're not sure whom to follow, take a look at NBC's Olympic Pulse "Tweet Sheet" (which features tweets by athletes and analysts), the New York Times' Winter Olympics Twitter list (athletes and organizations), or just check out the #Olympics hashtag search results.

If you're looking for official updates, the International Olympics Committee has a Twitter account (@Olympics), as does Vancouver 2010 (@2010tweets). And of course, for straight coverage follow @NBCOlympicZone

Why you should check it out: Twitter lends a personal element to the games — you can follow athletes, teams (follow Team USA @USOlympic), and other fans. And if you dream of being an Olympic athlete one day, check out @OlympicHealth for tips from Olympians on diet, training, and recovery.

The New York Times' Olympics Site

Useful for: Lots and lots of Olympics-related facts and information.

What it is: A ton of great features to enrich an Olympic-watching experience — all in one place. While naturally centered around news articles from the Times' staff, it also features interactive graphics (such as this one on countries that have won gold medals in past Winter Olympics games), and informative pages for each sport.

While I wouldn't recommend this site for straight results, it's a great place to learn more about the games you're watching. Each sport page features a great deal of information on the sport itself — including an explanation of the sport, its history, and how it's scored — something no other site (that I've seen so far) has managed to put together.

Why you should check it out: For the first time in your life, you'll be able to watch figure skating or alpine skiing and understand what you're seeing and how it's scored — and you might even discover some fun background facts to impress your friends with.

Vancouver 2010 Olympics Official Site

Useful for: Information on events surrounding the Games.

What it is: The official spot for all things official: art, merchandise, and ticket information. It's a great place to learn about all things surrounding the Olympics — including the 2010 Paralympic Games (which take place March 12-21) and project Canada CODE (a collaborative online project of Canadian stories, photos, and artwork). After all — to some — the Olympic Games are more about culture and less about scores and times.

One drawback: It's not the best site for quick result info. It does have schedules, results, and up-to-date multimedia (though not streaming video), but numbers are a bit lost in the complex-but-visually-breathtaking design.

Why you should check it out: In addition to the above, Vancouver 2010 features an interactive Olympic Torch relay map, which includes clickable checkpoints of where the Olympic Torch has been. Each checkpoint has a map of the Torch route, as well as photos and stories from the event.

Websites are not your only options, of course. If you want to stay even more up-to-date on the latest Olympics news, try one of the several free iPhone apps — there's an official one, and two (including a "cheer app") from NBC.

The Godfather II

The Godfather II

Description:

After being promoted by Michael Corleone to Don of New York, players expand to new cities, as they build up their families through extorting businesses, monopolizing illegal crime rings and defeating new families in an effort to become the most powerful mob family in America. To help players manage their empire, The Godfather II introduces “The Don’s View” – an innovative strategy meta-game that allows players to oversee the entire world as they grow the family business. Using the Don’s View, players will be able to build, defend and expand their crime rings, while keeping an eye on the movements and plans of the rival families. Players will also learn to master the business of organized crime by building a family of Made Men, hiring crew, handing out orders, and promoting their best men up the ranks.

Set in a stunning open-world environment, The Godfather II expands on the popular gameplay mechanics of the first game and doubles down on the series’ signature BlackHand control scheme, which now features even more visceral hand-to-hand brutality at your fingertips, introducing a new combo system, pressure tactics and executions. In The Godfather II, players will fight alongside their hand-picked crew, who have their own skills and expertise. Each family member specializes in a specific field such as demolitions, arson, engineering, first-aid and more. As The Don you control the family, sending some of your men on missions while heading off into action with others. The combination of strategic organized crime gameplay and brutal BlackHand action sets The Godfather II apart from other open-world games.

Gta 5

Gta 5

[The above box art is not real.]

Grand Theft Auto 5 release date may fall in fall 2011

According to my analysis. gta 5 may be fall in quater 4 of 2011. we may be lucky if it will announce in quater 4 of 2010 ( near november) . initially it will come to ps3, xbox 360 and later on other gaming consoles. you can expect a gap of 8 to 10 month for pc version.

Gta 5 may have more realistic graphics than all other games which is not a good news for all gamers specially who belongs from middle class families. High quality graphics means high quality of hardware which is really expensive and still there is no guarentee that it will work perfectly.

You can take an example of Gta 4 . Most of the gamers complaints lot of bugs in it and having lagging problems. According to me - best GTA game is GTA SANANDREAS and GTA VICE CITY. GTA 4 SUCKS.

we can hope that gta will not repeat the story of gta 4 in future and think about the gamer's pocket before creating gta 5.

For Niko Bellic, fresh off the boat from Europe, it is the hope he can escape his past. For his cousin, Roman, it is the vision that together they can find fortune in Liberty City, gateway to the land of opportunity. As they slip into debt and are dragged into a criminal underworld by a series of shysters, thieves and sociopaths, they discover that the reality is very different from the dream in a city that worships money and status, and is heaven for those who have them and a living nightmare for those who don’t.

Beginning with the 1997 release of the original Grand Theft Auto, the GTA series has been one of the most prolific, controversial and down right entertaining franchises in video games history. This pedigree of success guarantees that the highly anticipated eleventh game in the series, Grand Theft Auto IV, will garner at least as much attention if not more.

Game Environments:

Based on several of the boroughs of New York City and parts of New Jersey, Liberty City, familiar to players of previous games in the series, has been entirely redesigned for GTA IV. Players can expect visible detail down to the weeds growing in the cracks in the sidewalk, cars and buildings of visibly different ages and a much greater level if verticality in the buildings and bridges that they are able to explore as Niko moves through the city streets. In addition, pedestrians in GTA IV are much more realistic. No longer simply moving cardboard cut-outs, these NPCs are intelligent, modern, human representations that laugh, cry, eat, drink, use cell phones and ATMs, and talking amongst themselves regardless of Niko’s interaction with them.

Gameplay:

Historically GTA games have focused heavily on mission-based play, requiring successful completion of fixed tasks in order for players to progress through the game, but this has changed to a great extent in GTA IV. Players will experience an entirely new and exciting emphasis centred on the blending of on-mission and off-mission play, resulting not only in an increased sense of realism, but more interesting and unrestricted gameplay.

Features:

Aside from the car jacking and a detailed city environment here are the new features for GTA IV :
  • Improved combat system - Now you can use cover and also a target lock system, which allows you to take out targets with greater ease and accuracy. Plus, you can engage in some hand-to-hand combat if you can't get your hands on a piece quick enough.
  • Cell phone - Not just for basic phone calls anymore. Use your in-game cell phone to receive missions via SMS, snap photos, and ZiT (tag) songs that can be downloaded exclusively on Amazon.com/mp3.
  • Free time - In between missions you can take advantage of "me" time. There are gentleman's clubs, comedy clubs, bowling alleys, and bars, which all house unique activities.
  • Take a break from the storyline - A variety of side missions allow you to help run a car service, "borrow" cop cars, assassinate targets, help solve problems for those on the street, or take to the air with stunt jumps that are scattered all over the city.
  • Control your own fate - Throughout the game choice moments will arrive causing you to make a decision that will affect relationships and money.

Multiplayer:

Give Niko a rest and create your own multiplayer "hero." GTA has added multiplayer modes allowing you to take your creation out to play online in competitive, co-op, and free form modes. Competitive mode has you fighting against the cops, jacking cars, or racing to finish odd jobs. Co-op challenges you and your friends with various tasks including Hangman's NOOSE where you are responsible for escorting a wanted kingpin to a safe extraction point. Freeform lets you and 15 others lose on Liberty City. Use this mode to hit up the bar and play virtual darts versus each other or head out to the streets and set up your own drag races. If you can dream it, you can do it in Freeform mode.
