Intex launches dual sim QWERTY music phone for just Rs. 2200

Yesterday, my friend told me that he is looking for a cheap and best mobile. So I told suggested him to buy Nokia 2730 Classic. This Nokia handset is a lowest priced 3G enabled phone. But why i am telling you this now, you can read it here.

INTEX Technologies launched a new Dual Sim (GSM+GSM) QWERTY mobile phone in the Indian market priced at Rs 2,200.

The handset also supports GPRS and WAP and sports a 1.8 screen. It has chatting and texting options as well. It supports 11 hours talk time and up to 336 hours stand-by. A in-built Black List feature allows users to block 10 callers of choice.

It has a 2 GB expandable memory.

Google receives requests from IPL for removing content

Internet major Google has said it has received four content censorship requests this month from the Indian Premier League, the administrative body of the Twenty20 cricket tournament.

A total of five complaints were received in 2010 about certain websites carrying "illegal retransmission of the authorised feed, copyrighted content for which IPL is the owner", according to Google.

Out of the five, four complaints were made this month while one was made in March.

Interestingly, Google recently signed an agreement with IPL, wherein rights for live web coverage of matches have been given to YouTube, part of the internet major.

Google on Tuesday had named India at the third place among a list of nations from which it received maximum requests for censoring information.

The list, which was based on requests for removal of information made to Google between July 1 and December 31, 2009.

The complaints from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), which owns IPL, have been listed on the website 'chillingeffects.org', a project run by the US-based Berkman Center for Internet and Society, that tracks online restrictions on speech.

"Whenever we do remove content, we display a message for our users that X number of results have been removed to comply with local law and we also report those removals to chillingeffects.org," Google said in a blog post on Monday.

Last year, the BCCI had registered three complaints related to IPL, with Google.

The cash-rich IPL is now mired in controversy following allegations by IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi that Union Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor influenced the auction of an IPL franchise. Tharoor has since resigned saying he didn't want to be an embarrassment to the government, although he claimed doing no wrong.

Google said that it got maximum requests to censor information from Brazil (291), followed by Germany (188) and India (142).

Removal requests ask for removal of content from Google search results or from another Google product, including YouTube, Google had said in a statement.

"For Brazil and India, requests for content removal are high relative to other countries in part because of the popularity of our social networking website, orkut. The majority of the Brazilian and Indian requests for removal of content from orkut relate to alleged impersonation or defamation," the statement noted.

Facebook shut its Lite site after just seven months

Facebook has shut down its Lite site aimed at users with slow or poor internet connections.

The stripped down version of the original ran for around seven months.

Facebook posted a note on its own fan page thanking those who used Lite, adding that it had "learned a lot from the test of a slimmed-down site".

"I think a lot of the Facebook experience was left out of Lite, especially the monetisable parts," said Ray Valdes of Gartner Research.

"The other part of this decision is probably because they have improved the performance sufficiently with the main part of Facebook and made things run better that they didn't need this back-up approach to cover a situation of low performance," Mr Valdes told BBC News.

The technology blog ReadWriteWeb.com had described the Lite site as a "Twitter-like experience" of the popular microblogging service because it offered a smaller number of features than the fully-fledged site.

The options on Facebook Lite were limited to letting users write on their wall, post photos and videos, view events and browse other people's profiles. There were no applications or special boxes.

"In some ways the Lite version was like using ad block on their own site - it stripped the site down to the very basics," said Mike Melanson of ReadWriteWeb.

The change was announced on Facebook's own profile page and offered few details as to why the service has been closed down.

"It would seem not enough people were using it but then there was not a lot of awareness about the product. Tears will not be shed over the loss of Facebook Lite," Nick O'Neil of AllFacebook.com told BBC News.

A number of commentators on the social media blog Mashable.com said that they used it because it was not blocked at their office while some said they thought it "would have been a nice support for low bandwidth nations".

    Website Creation Tutorial for Beginners

Want to learn the ABC's of creating a website? Congrats! You just stumbled upon the right place.

There's a lot of information on this site and if you're a beginner, it can be overwhelming. I created this quick guide just to give you an idea of what's involved with creating a website.

I encourage you to read it through once without clicking on any of the links just so you can understand the big picture. Then after you've absorbed the info, go back and click the links for more info.

Need Ideas? Having Trouble with Topic Choice?

While it's often tempting to choose topics where you've seen others have success, it's not always best to follow the leader.
Read about the importance of topic choice here.

What You Need to Build a Website

    1) Domain Name
The domain name creates the address of your site.  So, mywebsite.com would be an example of a domain name.
Domain names are paid for yearly and you can register them here.
    Looking for a FREE site?
I never endorse free webhosts.  They are too unstable, you never really own your site and you do not receive a true domain name.  Instead your address will be something like http://freesite.yourdomain.com.  In some cases, the domain may be even longer.
Read about my free website experience.
    2) Web Host
A website cannot exist without a web host.  This is the company that houses your files and provides the environment for you to create and save pages to the Internet.
Web hosts are usually paid for monthly (some are yearly).
Learn the importance of choosing the right website host. Very important page!
    3) Web Building Software (Optional)
Some web hosts provide website building tools so you do not need any additional software.  It's important you find out about this before you sign up with any host.Dreamweaver
CoffeeCup & Dreamweaver are popular web editing software programs that people use to create and maintain their sites.
I used Dreamweaver to create this site.
If you don't use any software, then you will need to learn how to code HTML from scratch.  All you do is open a text editor (Notepad or BBEdit for example) and then write the HTML that will create your page. It's pretty easy to learn.
Then you save the file as filename.html and save it to the Internet through your web host.
If you're not interested in learning HTML, I'd strongly recommend downloading some of my free HTML templates and buying a software program like CoffeeCup to edit and continue building your site.
Nvu and Komposer are two free editors you can download. As you might expect, they do have some limitations (free is not always best) but they can get the job done.

    Other Website Features

Want a gaming site?  Looking to create a message forum or chat room for your visitors to communicate?  Maybe you want an online guestbook where people can leave you messages on your site.
This is where it gets a little tricky but don't let it discourage you.  As the Internet matures, it's getting easier and easier to setup these kinds of things on a website.
Any kind of user interactive feature on a website requires some kind of script. A script is nothing but a file that contains a bunch of code that tells the browser how to behave.
Depending on what you want to create for your site, you'll need to go to your favorite search site (Google, for example) and search for the appropriate script (game script, message board script, etc.)  Some are free, some are not-so-free.
Say you want a message board/forum, you can go to http://www.phpbb.com and get a free message board script.  The trick is you have to install it yourself.
They do provide instructions and it really isn't that difficult but you'll need to get setup with your web host first.
Most web hosts will help you if you need some guidance and some even provide scripts to their customers for free.  Powweb and Website Palace both do.
Important!  Before you select a web host, make sure they support the kind of script and functionality you want to use.

    Making Money from Your Website

More and more people are coming to the web to either make a living or earn a part-time living from a website or blog.
It's certainly possible to make a full-time living online (like me), so if that's the route you're looking for, you've come to the right place.
In fact, I've created an article that talks about the various ways you can make money online.

    Outsource The Programming

If you can't seem to find a script or you don't want to learn how to install them you can go to RentaCoder.com and have a programmer do the work for you.  I love this site.
All you do is sign up for an account and post a job.  In a matter of minutes, programmers will begin bidding on your job with a price and you take the bid you want.
It's very safe because you pay the programmers by using PayPal.com and you don't release the money to them until you are satisfied with their work.  You can also check a coder's feedback/history before you select them.  I use them all the time!
You can even have them design your site if you wish.  Just purchase your domain and web hosting and then have one of the coders create a template for you.  They'll even install it for you.
That's website creation in a nutshell.  Now I will suggest you go to  website creation options page to further understand the importance of choosing the right kind of web host before you begin.

How to Monitor RAM Usage with Memory Cleaning Tool – Memory Cleaner?

Does your computer hang regularly when you are use multiple applications which include high resource using software’s like Mozilla Firefox, FTP Programs etc, and the only solution offered by your PC Seller is that you need to upgrade either your complete PC or else your RAM to the maximum compatible RAM.

Once you install this small application you will get a report with the total Memory Usage currently used and the Average and Maximum Usage. You will be able to clean the System Cache and Trim Processes. Once these settings were run i was able to decrease my memory usage from 55% to 45% which is a quite good result because while you are running numerous applications which are all useful, any small increase in free memory can help you easily handle your applications easily.

    Features of Memory Cleaner :

    1. Trims processes’ working set.
    2. Clears system cache.
    3. Monitors RAM usage and reports minimum, maximum and average (true average, not (min+max)/2).
    4. Reports Pagefile and virtual memory usage.

How to Fix Low Virtual Memory Error in Windows

Generally when you install/run very big applications like 3DMax, Adobe Photoshop or Macromedia Dreamweaver the windows based PC’s start giving you a error message saying – Your system is low on virtual memory. To ensure that Windows runs properly, increase the size of your virtual memory paging file.
Reasons for Low Virtual Memory :

Lets say you are running a application like Adobe Photoshop and while you are rendering a big sized image the pc starts using high amount of RAM and when there isn’t any adequate Random Access Memory on your PC which can handle processing of this data. This is when the PC starts using the Virtual Memory.

    What is Virtual Memory :
Temporary storage used by a computer to run programs that need more memory than it has. For example, programs could have access to 4 gigabytes of virtual memory on a computer’s hard drive, even if the computer has only 32 megabytes of RAM. The program data that does not currently fit in the computer’s memory is saved into paging files.

Finding Source of Low Virtual Memory Problem :
In order to quickly solve this problem you need to first find the source of it by checking out the Task Manager and analyzing all the programs to find which one of those is using the highest memory and closing them. This way you can close the programs which you are not actively using and those which use high amount of your memory.
Click on Windows Task Manager > View > Select Columns

Next Click on Select Columns option from the View Menu and Check on Virtual Memory Size Option

Next move on to the Task Manager’s main process tab and find all the programs which are using high amount of Virtual Memory and End their Process.

You can also try to uninstall and reinstall these high memory using programs because sometimes older versions of some software end up using high amount of RAM/Virtual RAM. I would recommend you to setup your Virtual Memory to 1.5 times of your physical memory for better performance.

How to Disable Automatic Updates Restart Computer Notification?

Whenever you go for a windows xp software update you will be notified with a message every 10minutes to either Restart the computer right away or later and this notifications keep popping up every 10minutes which can make you annoyed and would plan to restart but if you are in the middle of some important work then you should find a way to disable this notification and it would pop-up back after a 24 hours delay between which you can continue with your work without any disturbance.

Here is the way to stop these notifications.
    • Click Start >>> Run >>> type in gpedit.msc
    • Go to Local Computer Policy >>> Computer Configuration >>> Administrative Templates >>> Windows Components >>> Windows Update >>> Next
    • To disable auto restart: double click ‘No auto-restart for scheduled Automatic Update installations’ and enable this function.
    • To delay the re-prompt by 24 hours: double click ‘Re-prompt for restart with scheduled installations’ and enable this function. Then set the timing to ‘1440 minutes’ – this is the maximum allowable time

Its generally recommended to restart your computer whenever you make a computer windows update because in most cases these are very important security updates and restarting would mean installation of these notifications. You are at risk if you dont restart your computer once the updates are downloaded and installed but at certain times you would need the above trick while you are in the middle of something where you cannot restart. This trick works on Windows XP Professional and not on Windows XP home version.

Regain Hard Disk Space & Clean Up Data

This tip is useful for most Windows Operating System based PC users where in they want to regain the hard disk storage space instead of buying a new Hard Disk Drive. Currently you would find these options only in Microsoft Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP and Vista. If you find that your Disk Drives are full and you get a message for the same then its time for buying a new External Hard Disk Drive, upgrading your internal hard disk or else applying the following tweaks.

Click on My Computer Icon located on your desktop and go to the desired drive in which you want to regain the space by deleting unnecessary files. Right click on the drive and click on ‘Properties’. On the main first ‘General’ Tab you will find ‘Disk Cleanup’ option, Click on it.

It starts scanning for Compressed Old Files, Catalog Files for the Content Indexer & Recycle Bin Files. Then gives you with a quick report on the files which can be deleted, and a option to Check/unCheck them before deleting. Generally these files are permanently deleted and you cannot recover them. The Old Compressed files are those which are saved on your after a certain time period and there is generally no need for those.

Once you select these files and CleanUp you would regain a lot of hard disk space which was previously used by useless files.

The saved space may not be very high but it depends on the files space already used and deleted after the above step but it can still help you when you are in urgent need of some Disk Space while installing a new software.

    Virus in Vodafone handset!

Internet security firm Trend Micro has said that its researchers were alerted to the discovery of a malware that came pre-installed on a Vodafone mobile phone handset.
In a statement, Trend Micro said that Vodafone has been taking the heat for packing malware straight out of the box on their HTC Magic Android smartphones. Plugging the phone in via USB into any PC quickly led to an infection by WORM_SILLY.QT, the statement added.

Trend Micro threat researcher, Ryan Flores, believes that most likely a computer in Vodafone's production line has been infected by WORM_SILLY.QT. And, because of the worm's capability to propagate through removable drives, somehow SD cards in a certain batch of smartphones were infected.

The recipient of one of the malware-laden phones was, fortunately, an employee of the antivirus firm Panda Security.

In an official statement, Vodafone has said that the infected phone problem was an isolated one.

The 10 most surprising things about the iPad

The UPS guy handed me my new iPad just a few hours ago, and yes--the jumbo-sized screen is as glorious as they say, and I was shocked by how good HD videos looked. But I was also surprised by how heavy the iPad feels, and if you were hoping to read e-books all day under the clear, bright blue sky, well...bad news, folks. These and more iPad surprises, coming right up.

    1. It screams
The early reviews all said that the iPad was "wicked fast," and boy, they weren't kidding. Applications literally fly open, and browsing the Web on Safari is way faster than on the iPhone. I could get used to this.

    2. It's heavier than I thought it would be

One-and-a-half pounds sounds pretty light, especially when you consider that the flyweight MacBook Air weighs in at about 3.5 pounds. That said, the iPad felt surprisingly heavy the first time I hefted it—not so heavy that I'm bursting a blood vessel or anything, but I'm curious to see how it'll feel after an hour or so of reading an iBook, what Apple is calling the e-books you can download onto the device.

    3. Good luck reading e-books in direct sunlight
Yes, the iPad has it all over the Kindle when it comes to its eye-catching color screen and sleek page-flicking animations. The beauty of the Kindle's black-and-white e-ink screen, however, is that text stands out quite nicely when you're reading in the sun; on the iPad, however, the color display looks disappointingly washed out in direct sunlight, problematic for reading e-books poolside.

    4. Virtual QWERTY keypad isn't as bad as I'd feared

No, it's nothing like typing on a real keyboard, but for me, the iPad's virtual QWERTY keypad isn't nearly as terrible as many had warned. I've managed to bang out a few decent-sized emails on the thing, and it's certainly better than typing on the iPhone. The key, I've found, is to relax and let the automatic error correction do its thing; if you keep hitting backspace to fix your errors (and there will be errors, trust me), you'll be tapping all day. That said, keep in mind that to type on the iPad, you must do one of several things:
Prop it (awkwardly) in your lap to type
Place it flat on a table—not the best solution due to the iPad's curved back
Hold it in one hand and tap with the other, effectively slashing your possible WPM
Invest in Apple's $79 iPad keyboard dock
Use Apple's $39 case to prop the iPad up at a good typing angle
    5. Can't charge iPad over a USB port
First I tried it on my USB hub, then on the powered USB port on my MacBook Pro, but nope...no juice—not even when the iPad's syncing with iTunes. Looks like the only way to charge the iPad, apparently, is using the included AC wall adapter. Good thing the iPad's battery is rated for 10-plus hours.

    6. HD videos look amazing
Practically the first thing I did after unpacking the iPad was queue up the 720p trailer for "Avatar," and...whoa. Absolutely gorgeous. Watching movies on the plane will never be the same again.

    7. Reflections on the display are pretty distracting
The moment the wife and I were done "oohing" and "ahhing" over that "Avatar" video, we started complaining about our reflections in the iPad's glass display. It's not bad at all when you're surfing or composing email, but if you're watching a movie—and especially during a darkly lit scene—prepare to see your reflected self looking back at you. (Yes, the iPhone's screen suffers from glare, too, but at least I couldn't see my entire head reflected in the glass.)

    8. Location-based services work fine in a pinch

One of the problems with the Wi-Fi-only iPad versus the upcoming 3G-embedded model is that it lacks A-GPS, a system that combines satellite data with cell-tower triangulation to pinpoint your location, even when you're indoors. That said, the Wi-Fi-only version can still attempt to find where you are using nearby Wi-Fi signals, and I was impressed when my new iPad immediately zeroed in on my apartment, within half a block. Not bad.

9, The iPad makes calls, with a little help from Skype
Yes, Apple had promised that "almost" all iPhone apps would work on the iPad, but I had my doubts about Skype. Today, though, I was finally able to put Skype on the iPad to the test: I loaded it up, logged into my (for-pay) Skype Out account, and dialed 777-FILM. The next thing I heard? "Hello, welcome to Moviefone! If you know the name of the movie you want to see, press one now!" (Of course, this would all be a little more amazing if the iPad had a front-facing camera for video calls.)

    10. My iPhone seems really, really small now

After testing the iPad for about an hour or so, I went to check my iPhone for a second and...yikes, what is this tiny little thing? So puny!

Stay tuned for my full iPad review, including my decision on whether to return it or not

Apple iPad goes on sale for first time in US

Apple's iPad hits stores today amid fevered speculation over whether the gadget can meet expectations.

The iPad, which Apple chief executive Steve Jobs hopes will bridge a gap between smartphone and laptop, goes on sale across America from 9am.

Steve Jobs of Apple holding up the new iPadIndustry analysts and Wall Street are now waiting to see whether the touchscreen tablet will prove as successful and revolutionary as the company’s iPhone mobile and iPod music player.

The company has already received several hundred thousands in pre-orders and first-year sales are estimated to be between 4 million to 7 million.

Last night those wanting to be the first to buy the device started queuing outside a few of Apple's 200-plus US outlets. Queues were shorter than for the launch of the iPhone three years ago, as the iPad has been available to pre-order since last month.

The lightweight device, which features a 9.7 inch touchscreen, is an attempt to fuse the best qualities of laptops and smartphones. It allows owners to access the internet, play video games and view a range of media from films to magazines.

    Pricing ranges from $499 for a short-range Wi-Fi model to more than $800 for a 3G-enabled version.

Apple’s stock has risen steadily since the iPad was launched to much fanfare in January.

However some commentators have critisced the device as an ‘oversized iPhone' lacking the processing power of a laptop and questioned whether it will be able to compete in either market.

Rival software giants Hewlett and Packard and Dell are also planning to launch tablet devices later this year.

    TrustPort Antivirus

After describing in detail what an anti-virus software is, I decided to write this post. If you still have confusions related to What actually is an anti-virus software then please first know What is an Anti Virus software?

Despite the increasing presence of native security features in modern operating systems, an antivirus program is still a must-have for most computer users.
If you don't feel safe enough with one antivirus though, TrustPort Antivirus is your app of choice. This antivirus tool is equipped with two powerful, well-known engines (AVG and BitDefenfer) that will keep your system safe while browsing the web, checking email or downloading data. It's like using two antivirus in one, but without the usual hassle.

The main drawback to such a high level of security is slowness. TrustPort Antivirus is heavier on resources than other antivirus apps, takes longer to update and even more time to scan. Then again, if you're willing to sacrifice speed for the safety of your system - or if you have a powerful PC - TrustPort Antivirus is probably the safest tool you can use.

Other interesting features in TrustPort Antivirus include real-time web analysis, parental control and email filters for viruses and spam. The program's interface has two different designs (Easy and Advanced) which makes it suitable for all users, no matter their computer knowledge. The funny thing though is that the Advanced design is actually easier to use than the Easy one.

TrustPort Antivirus is a powerful antivirus system with two different engines for a nice extra layer of security.

    What is an AntiVirus Software?

Antivirus (or anti-virus) software is used to prevent, detect, and remove malware, includingcomputer viruses, worms, and trojan horses. Such programs may also prevent and remove adware, spyware, and other forms of malware.

A variety of strategies are typically employed. Signature-based detection involves searching for known malicious patterns in executable code. However, it is possible for a user to be infected with new malware for which no signature exists yet. To counter such so-called zero-day threats, heuristics can be used. One type of heuristic approach, generic signatures, can identify new viruses or variants of existing viruses by looking for known malicious code (or slight variations of such code) in files. Some antivirus software can also predict what a file will do if opened/run by emulating it in asandbox and analyzing what it does to see if it performs any malicious actions. If it does, this could mean the file is malicious.

However, no matter how useful antivirus software is, it can sometimes have drawbacks. Antivirus software can degrade computer performance if it is not designed efficiently. Inexperienced users may have trouble understanding the prompts and decisions that antivirus software presents them with. An incorrect decision may lead to a security breach. If the antivirus software employs heuristic detection (of any kind), success depends on achieving the right balance between false positives and false negatives. False positives can be as destructive as false negatives. In one case, a faulty virus signature issued by Symantec mistakenly removed essential operating system files, leaving thousands of PCs unable to boot.[1] Finally, antivirus software generally runs at the highly trustedkernel level of the operating system, creating a potential avenue of attack.

In addition to the drawbacks mentioned above, the effectiveness of antivirus software has also been researched and debated. One study found that the detection success of major antivirus software dropped over a one-year period.

Now after knowing the importance of Anti Virus software you might want to have one. So in my next articles/reviews you can download the anti virus softwares for free that works 24/7 for you to save your precious computer.
